Known as "chhoti giri", Gurbandis as a specie originate from Afghanistan. Though smaller in size than Mamra and the generic California almonds, they provide lots of energy and have the highest concentration of anti-oxidants among all almonds.

Gurbandis pack a punch as they contain the highest quantum of anti-oxidants, especially phytochemicals, amongst all almond varieties.
 
According to scientific research they are good for your heart, they help in weight reduction and they fill you with energy. Almonds keep your heart healthy, reduce bad cholesterol (low density lipoprotein) and increase good cholesterol (high density lipoprotein). Flavonoids present in Gurbandis suppresses tumor growth.
